The DVD will usually start playing and then freeze within the first few seconds. I can't eject the DVD and my computer is completely frozen, so I have to manually shut down the computer and then restart in order to eject the DVD. Unfortunately, since I don't watch DVDs very often, I didn't discover the problems until it was too late to return it. Don't buy this -- look elsewhere.Attempted to use on a 2018 Mac Mini. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works for now *by B***P on Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2019* With external drives its really hard to gage them unless you buy them, seems like a lot of them work fine out of the box only to later have them die on you. So far I have had this unit for 4 weeks and it seems to be working as advertised. I use this on a MacBook Pro to burn music CD's from iTunes and that's about it. I do not watch any DVD's on this and it is put right back in the box it came in after use. This was pretty much plug and play so there was no mystery there. It's awkward to slide dvds into it, the way it closes is awkward and cheesy, and from the moment you use it the first time, you know you've bought a second or third-rate product.For me, it finally died a month in to owning it.
