Review: Love 'em - The Hilda books are awesome (the original graphic novels; have not seen the novelized tie-ins). Unique and enjoyable drawing style, good stories. This goes not just for The Black Hound, but for all six of the originals. The Netflix series has expanded beyond the books, but stayed true to their style, characters and overall feel. If your child enjoys the series, the graphic novels will be a slam-dunk bedtime addition. Would say they're good for at least age 5 and up. My 4-year-old loves them.

The Hilda books are awesome (the original graphic novels; have not seen the novelized tie-ins). Unique and enjoyable drawing style, good stories.
