The end closes mostly, it's a bit snug but I'm happy with it. It's no-frills, which is what I wanted, cheap (I already spent $$ on the keyboard!) yet keeps the keyboard free of scratches, dings and dust while it's in the car moving between my home, office, and a couple of customer locations that I'm at all day sometimes.
