These work with any drink: sparkling water, regular water, or lemonade, as well as alcoholic beverages. I bought these for my bar and now have sent them as gifts to my family members and friends. Everyone loves these shrubs. The company is also great to deal with--adding in a birthday message or fixing a miss-typed address (my mistake!) with a quick response. These aren't as sweet as some other shrubs I have tried. Mix well with ginger ale or La Croix and a little simple syrup. I mixed it with 3 parts le croix seltzer water and 1 part shrub. I thought it was tasty with a little zip to it. Then I added a shot of rum and it was even better. Because I had read some reviews that said this shrub just tastes like ordinary apple cider vinegar, I made a second drink with 3 parts le croix and 1 part regular apple cider vinegar to compare with the shrub drink.
