Other wool comforters felt more like thin quilts and didn't have that cozy feel, whereas this one is almost fluffy. It does not have a noticeable scent and can be washed in a top loading washing machine if done carefully according to the directions (air dry in the sun). The perfect comfort is very warm. We keep our house at 67 at night and the blanket is almost too warm. We'd lower the heat but we have two small kids who might get cold. I sometimes wonder if the cool comfort would be a better weight for us but I figure eventually we'll be able to turn the thermostat lower and then the perfect comfort will be ideal. Or we may someday buy the cool comfort and have both depending on the season. Another wonderful thing about this comforter is that the company uses the most ethically sourced and chemical free wool possible.
