It adheres well and the plasticized fabric doesn't have the cheap sheen of a plastic laminate. Aside from a few swear words when the sticky side stuck together, it was relatively easy to put up. Something to note for hanging: If you draw a level pencil line, that will show through once on the fall and the backing material is pulled off. Recommend you make a few marks at the level point, and have 1-2 people on the bottom keep the corners from rolling back in. Level the top (it pulls off easily to reposition), and then start smoothing down. Even with careful attempts to separate the map it was impossible and ended up being thrown away. The glue is not adequate for the size and weight of this map.
