My guess is that if kept in a cool dark spot it could last for years, unlike say say regular motor oil which is quite light. As a comparison, the original oil was in my saw for 10+ years. That saw only got light homeowner weekender work, however the oil had gone a dull greyish brown. Contractor friends of mine who use these saws daily have mentioned that they rarely replace the oil. They generally either wore the entire saw out, or it got wrecked in a fall, or most often: stolen. **Q: Will this work with a skilsaw model 825?** A: This Is specifically what this is made for. It is the lubricant for your worm-drive saw. Yes, the #825 is a worm-drive saw. **Q: Is this synthetic?** A: The tube says heavy duty worm drive gear lube. It does not say synthetic, so I would presume it is not. It may be an “ep” extreme pressure lube but that is a guess based on the terminology used on the label. **Q: Does the product work with the skilsaw worm drive table saw?** A: Hi John!
