Be careful not to use TOO much because it's obviously sticky (imagine rubbing honey out of YOUR hair). We use about half a pea size and it works great - although our newborn did have quite a bit of hair for it to hold on to - I'm not sure how it would work with balder babies.Taking it off is a little tricky but not too bad. Doesn't hurt baby and pretty simple if you're /patient/.
