It is meant to go around the base of a toilet and a bucket would be too big and I think with a bucket it would be too high for it to be comfortable. **Q: No box? the item was wrapped in a plastic bag with "squatty potty" logo on the outside of the bag. it did ship in the typical amazon brown box though.** A: When you buy these in the store they don’t come in a box. Company doesn’t provide one. Hope this helps. **Q: Is it durable?** A: Yes **Q: Does the extra piece come off too easily while in use?** A: It stays securely & great for the 9” use. There is a cup indention it fits in. When is is stoutest under the seat, so you can use the 7” function, it can jiggle out & fall down if you are a little rough (in a hurry teens).
