Heritage Farms Premium Pine Needles, 100% Pine Straw Mulch (4 Quart)

I have never ordered before for quantity of coverage. My error. What was in the box looked great.

I wanted a mulch that wouldn’t breakdown as fast and look more natural. The box was densely packed and definitely covers a large area. Only complaint is there was a lot of pine cones mixed in.

expected something to use for mulch in flower beds and got 4 quart zip-lock bags with 2 marked as 4 quarts...

Well, I should have read the reviews. I wondered why they gave a liquid measure (4 quarts) for what should be a solid, but then I believed the seller, who said in the questions for this entry that the pine straw would cover 3 square feet. This might cover *one* square foot. The amount is given in quarts because it shows up in a quart-size ziploc bag. This is useless as mulch; I'm not sure what it's for. I guess I'll tuck it in around one potted plant, or something.

This cost a small fortune for almost nothing. Over $70 for pine needles that would fit into two cereal boxes. What a waste of money.

such a small amount,,but fragrant ,,,,and after i put them down ,,, within a week i had Flea beetles.....dont know if it is from them,,,but it was around the plant that i put the needles that the beatles started on

It arrived quickly and is very easy to use. It looks great in my planters!
