The battery was very nearly an exact replacement for the original, and because I'm familiar with opening the case on my 15z, the replacement took about 15 minutes from start to finish. The battery works great... I find myself getting somewhat in excess of 3 hours of use on a full charge, and functions just like the original in the device manager and power controls. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now. Time will tell the overall life of the battery, but I expect it will function as well as the original, which lasted about 2 years for me with daily use. The price point was excellent; less than half of what Dell formerly charged for the battery. I checked Dell's site before ordering this battery, and found that they no longer even offer the part for sale on their site, so third-party sellers are the only options to obtain a replacement. Based upon my experience so far, I have no problems recommending either the part or the seller and would definitely do business with them again. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Monetary loss and safety hazard *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2017* After connecting this battery to the motherboard (not even starting laptop or connecting to power), battery fried itself up (small patch melted on the battery) as well as a K72 transistor on the laptop MB, which literally was on fire. I had to buy a new laptop after that.
