## Overview

The Starter Kit - 35 L Fermentasaurus is a groundbreaking Australian-made clear PET conical fermenter that doubles as a pressurizable serving vessel. With a 9.25-gallon capacity, it allows homebrewers to ferment, clarify, carbonate, and serve beer in one lightweight, easy-to-clean unit. Its pressure rating up to 2.4 Bar enables faster fermentation and natural carbonation, while the included yeast harvesting ball supports sustainable brewing practices. This innovative design eliminates the need for multiple vessels, reducing contamination risk and streamlining the brewing process.

## Description

Quick Overview The Fermentasaurus is the world’s first conical PET fermenter that is pressurisable up to 2.4 Bar working pressure. This new model of fermenter has only been possible to manufacture using a highly specialized PET grade and a new type of PET injection/blow molding machine that has been commissioned in Springvale, Victoria, Australia. This Australian made product will change the way home brew is made and greatly simplify the home brewing process. Home brewers can see the yeast in action as the Fermentasaurus is crystal clear. You can dump yeast from the conical shape and clarify the beer without the need to rack off into another vessel. In the past clarifying beer meant racking from one fermenter to another increasing the risks of infection and oxidation. Don’t waste time and put your beer at risk; now you can ferment, clarify and carbonate in one vessel. The Fermentasaurus comes with a yeast 500ml harvesting container that is also pressure rated. The yeast harvesting container is ideal so you can save your yeast from one brew and pitch it into the next brew. The breakthrough in this new design means that customers can finally naturally carbonate their clear conditioned beer in the Fermentasaurus and dispense directly to tap. No need to carbonate beer in the keg or bottle.

Review: Good design with great value - Great conical fermenter for the price. With the optional pressurization kit makes for a very clean oxygen free fermentation process. Compared to other conical's this fits into a very nice price bracket for home brewers. I have brewed for a while in a stainless conical and for obvious reasons they both have their pros and cons. Fermentasaurus pros: * Very light weight (less than 1/3 the weight of my SS 7G conical) * Easy to disassemble, clean and SEE with very clear plastic what needs to be cleaned * Can be pressurized up to carbonation levels (my SS is only rated to 5psi). * Oxygen free transfers and dry hopping (with pressure kit and CO2). * Less than half the cost of stainless (for obvious reasons). Fermentasauras Cons: * Very light weight. Seems flimsy at times. The stand performs well but could definitely use some design reinforcements. * Expensive pressurization kit should maybe be included at a better price. * Screw top opening is just a tad too small for my hands. Tips; * Always use a dab of keg lube for post cleaning assembly for easier later disassembly. * If Trub collection is stuck "gently" whirlpool the fermenter with a circular clockwise then counter clockwise motion. This issue happens with many small conical designs. Overall for the price (and a first manufacturing run) this is well designed, thought out and affordable for the average home brewer.
Review: I love mine, Will buy the Ferm#2 when it comes out - I love my fermentasaurus. Had it since Nov 18, no leaks yes the trub does seem to collect near the valve, I cured that by swirling the wort after fermentation is completed and before secondary. Most of trub goes into catch bottle. Will dump bottle and reinstall the do this again a day before I bottle. Most of the sediment is gone with only a small residual. These are no longer being made so you may be able to get one for a discount when Fermentasaurus 2 comes out. Parts are discounted at morebeer.com I purchased mine from desertcart. on my 10th batch of beer with no troubles.

### ⭐ The worst piece of equipment!
*by W***K on June 29, 2019*

This was my 2nd unit. The first has been great. This one, however, was awful. I assembled per instructions, the same way I did with my other one. The valve leaked. The coupling for the valve also leaked. I couldn’t get it unscrewed to try and repair it... It was a really bad experience. I wonder if they changed where they assembled because the difference in the one I got a couple years ago is staggering.
