If you base your evaluation of the scent on how it smells in the bottle, you will likely be disappointed, as it has a strong smoky "barbecue" or liquid smoke scent... when dilluted sufficiently however, it smells like the resin in the wood from which it's distilled, since the smoky aspect almost completely dissipates. ### ⭐⭐⭐ which is just fine with me *by V***. on April 21, 2017* Definitely one of my new favorites. This one is more smoke and wood and balsamic to my nose, not as rosy as some I've smelled, which is just fine with me. Better, actually.Edit: After using it for a few things I've discovered it's mixed. It does not solidify when cooled, and has a gelatinous feel that gets a little sticky on drying. Kind of like glycerin or propylene glycol, but I'm not willing to taste it to check.
