I doubt that it will cover more than about 100 square feet. **Q: What are the chances that this also works for bats?** A: We didn't do the test. Technically, the auditory range of rodents are 200Hz-90000Hz and that of bats are 1000～120000. It may work for it. **Q: Anyone use this on actual squirrels actually nesting and established in an attic? What results? How long before impact (if any)?** A: I have only used it for rats and have had much success. I have to say it is very portable and powerful. I had only one mouse in the basement and he died in the first two weeks of use. He actually was in a container away from the unit . I can say this product is worth the money spent!!! I had a unit I bought at Menards and it did not deter mice that well and it was loud. This is mostly silent except for the clicks you may hear. It doesn't bother the family or the pets... Just the rodents. I am actually getting another for my garage since it covers a good amount of space.
