San Diego is one of those. **Q: has anyone compared this to the root slayer? Which is better for rock and roots?** A: I don't have the root slayer, but do have the spear head spade. Just looking at the root slayer, it would be better at catching and cutting small roots, as they can 'slip aside' with the spear head spade. The spear head spade would be far better with rocks, and has worked well to dislodge them, as long as they're small enough for me to lift. **Q: Anyone know what the difference is between the shfd3 and the shfd2 model is?** A: There is a difference in the color SHFD2 is yellow while the SHFD3 is pink. One reason I choose the D2 was for it's wider grip which is very comfortable. **Q: is this shovel made in usa?** A: My spear head spade says built in USA. Guessing that's from components from who knows where.
