As it claims, this is well-insulated so it does keep cold drinks cold. Therein lies my biggest problem. It quickly turns my cold drink into a thick slushy. The lid does seal well and will prevent spills, but I am not entirely sure it will handle a drop because the lid presses into the cup and stays tight solely due to the o-ring that encircles the lid.I do not like the metal straw at all. It is too thin and it feels very odd to drink from.
