My girls did not want to take them off. The pink and violet colors are pretty and not too bright. I got 4T, because my twins are big for their age at 2 years old. The dresses where loose, but that was expected. The dresses are knee length. The material is super soft and stretchy. The stitching is neat and secure (one dress had a little thread hanging that I had to cut off, but stitching remained secure). It has some stretch but looks like it might run narrow. I would size up for a chunky baby. I ordered the 9-12 for my 5m 14lb baby. It runs long but otherwise fits her well. I would say the 9-12 size fits closer to 9 m than 12 m.
