Sturdy plastic. Good size. Generous length of quality string attached to ball. Dislikes: String is attached to ball but not to handle of cone that catches ball. Loop at end of string that slides over handle of cone slides right off so easy for cone and ball to get separated. Once separated, parts can be lost. Recommendation: Drill a hole through the handle just below cone, feed string through hole, tie knot in string so it can't go back through the hole. That will give you a string securely and inseparably attached to the handle.
