**Q: What's the best way to sharpen it?**
A: We recommend to hone your knife every 6-8hrs worth of use so the edge stays nice and sharp. Another very strong recommendation is to only cut on soft surfaces like wood or plastic. Hard surfaces like stone for example would rapidly increase the dulling process and would actually damage the edge.

For sharpening, we recommend the KING 1000/6000 Whetstone. There is some great videos on YouTube showing the best techniques to use with a whetstone to get good consistent results

**Q: Is the blade and handle one piece of metal or does the blade attach to the handle?**
A: The Comfort-Pro 7" Cleaver features a full-tang solid molded handle for strength, durability and comfort.

**Q: What is the thickness of the back of the cleaver?**
A: The thickness on the back (opposite the blade edge) is a hair under 1/8”. The handle is like an overstuffed couch! It is so comfortable in your hand, super smooth design, & heavy. I haven’t paid attention to that width because the Zelite Infinity Cleaver carries quite a punch. I spent a few weeks researching,  comparing, but I wanted one that would cut through chickens so I could grind the bones &meat. Hope this is info you needed.
