They consisted of a single page showing the parts and where they go. You need to identify the parts by looking at them and comparing them to the diagram; they are not marked. It is not suitable for 20 lb cats. Hey, what do you want for 50 bucks? Even the high priced units from pet stores are not necessarily any stronger, and at twice the price (or more!). I think that my 2 six-month-old kittens will have great fun with it.
