It helps to relax the jaw muscles. It fits well and has an excellent design with nothing covering the ears, which allows you to hear while wearing it. The packs do tend to cool off somewhat quickly (since they are small), but it still provides warmth just wearing it. ### ⭐⭐ Disappointed in Heat Cradle *by D***K on Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2018* I have debilitating migraines which cost me my last job. My Neurologist discovered that I also have TMJ which is exacerbating my migraines. A dentist confirmed the TMJ Diagnosis. I purchased a cheaper product to apply heat and cold in the areas affected by TMJ however it was difficult to make this product stay in place. I saved my last few dollars and purchased the cradle. The cold cradle is fantastic. It fits well and provides relief for approximately a half hour. The heat cradle fits well however only hold heat for about 5 minutes. My Dentist recommends the use of heat more than ice so unfortunately I am back to using the previous product purchased to apply heat. I'm am very disappointed in the heat cradle. I hope the Dr's that created the cradle look into ways to have the heat cradle sustain heat for a longer period of time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ He says the product fits well because the straps are adjustable and it's comfortable.
