A: It's metal inside.  I don't believe it will affect batteries.

**Q: Is it safe to use with nitroglycerin pills, or does the inner surface react with the pill?**
A: Hi, thanks for your interest in a GUS Mini. Regarding your question, I recommend that you ask your doctor or pharmacist if the GUS Mini is an acceptable container for your application. They will know best. You might also consider the GUS Special or GUS Pairamedic. Both models are designed to carry the entire standard 25 pill nitro bottle. The Pairamedic model has an extra chamber designed to carry two 325mg emergency aspirin as well.

**Q: , "Will pills dissolve in heat? I had a cheap one and was on a boat and went to get my pill but it was dissolved**
A: Unless you were working in a furnace I doubt the heat dissolved your pills. My guess would be MOISTURE.  Gus made pill holders are top quality, mine went through the wash cycle with no leaks.
