I will say I would wash and dry it before using it to help fluff it up. It's not a Cinderella puffy, trust me. Just enough to push the dress out a little. On a 1 to 10 scale, 1 being little, 10 being a lot, I would give it a 4 1/2. It does puff up when sitting down. It does the job if you need the extra puff to push out your dress. Like I said, not Cinderella puffy but 50s puffy. It comes vacuum sealed so I would shake it out and flip it over upside down to help the puff or wash and dry. It's stiff on the outside but once on the inside it's super soft. It's good for a dress just past the knees but not to the ankles. Good for the price. It is not puffy around waist. The waist part is slim the puffy starts around knees or little farther down.
