I've purchased a few different MX3 remotes in the past. Getting the programming sequence for programmable IR button learning is always a challenge as it is almost never exactly what the manufacturer says. This is the case for this remote as well: Step one is slightly different as you need to short-press TV button first to wake it up, and follow the rest of Step one, long-press the TV button until if flashes quickly, let go and wait it to flash slowly. After that, everything seems to proceed properly: 2) Short-press the button on the other remote that you want to program in - LED goes solid (if doesn't go solid, move remote closer and press again); 3) Short-press button on MX3 that you want to program - LED flashes slowly; 4) Short-press TV button on MX3, LED goes solid, press again to exit program mode or wait for LED to flash slowly again to program another button. But on the remote that I received, even though all of the steps seemed to proceed properly, the programmable buttons on the MX3 would not retain any programming and would continue to do nothing. I also tried all sorts of variations of the programming sequence, such as those shown in various youtube instructions. Nothing worked.

The programming sequence works as expected. It seems that the key was programmed but when I try to use it there is no IR emitted. I tried several different keys and several different TV remotes. Nothing worked. For testing, I programmed all the number key. I opened notepad and touched all the numbers and nothing was displayed in notepad. I switched to RF mode and all numbers were displayed in notepad as I touched them.

One of the most sought after features that people looking at this remote will want is the ability to program all the keys. The remote seems to pickup the keycode but it seems there is no ir led anywhere on the remote to send these codes! I looked all over with my ir camera and wasnt able to spot it sending anything. I cannot be bothered to open the remote up as it is not worth my time but look elsewhere. This remote cannot and will not function as an IR remote because it is incapable of doing so.

My TX3 Pro android box remote is in really bad shape, so I was looking for a replacement. I seen the reviews for this remote and decided to buy it. I really like this remote. The keyboard option works great. I like when you opt for the mouse, you just have to point the remote at the tv screen and move the arrow to where you want it to go. The only con is that I can't turn my box on or off. I don't know if we just haven't figured out how to set it or if it's just not able to. Luckily my original busted remote can still turn on/off the box.

Actually a good remote.. some functions are not accurate, like my other ones, which i have used on the same device. Overall though, for the price it is a good buy.. works well otherwise

Great remote battery is hit or miss if you use the backlight a lot it will last about 3 days. Other then that is great recharging is quick and you can use it while charging. As a matter of fact you can remove the battery and use it just plugged in. So this while always work.
