There is ONE strand that stretches to 6 feet. I had to bend that strand in half and add some other strands to stuff in the star. My star is about 6 inches tall. The top of my star is about 6 ft above the floor with the stand. **Q: Does this tree have "feel real" "look real" appeal to it?** A: we thought so...as much as an artificial tree can "look" or "feel" real. 700 tips makes it look great in our opinion... **Q: What is the tip count for the 6ft tree?** A: The hinged branches (bottom of the tree to about 3/4 of the way up) each has about 6-8 tips. The last quarter of the tree at the top has multiple tips but not arranged on branches like the lower sections. **Q: How does this set up?** A: The tree came in three pieces. You could piece it together fairly easily. I put it together bottom first, spread branches out all around and shaped the bottom, then placed the second piece and then spread and shaped the second section. Lastly I did the same as the two sections with the top. The top did not seem to match with the bottom two but I fiddled around with it and finally finished working with it and it looked ok. Not totally happy with the way it looked. I got it on Black Friday for $50 and it's easily worth double that. This is my first time having my own tree, and my first artificial tree ever. I have a tiny apartment but this tree fits perfectly in the corner of our living room. I'm sure it's not perfectly for some, but I love it. The only thing that could make it better is if the middle and top pieces locked in place to make moving it a little easier. I got the 6 foot tree and I couldn't be happier with it. Very easy to assemble, you just need to take your time fluffing each individual branch. I spent 3 hours total setting up, fluffing and decorating but that's just because I'm meticulous and wanted it to look perfect. You won't be disappointed with this!Update: 2023 This is my third year using this tree. It's still beautiful, barely sheds, and looks just as pretty this year! Also the lights are battery operated from Amazon as well, I use 2 sets and hide the battery packs in the tree! I am so glad that I did. I bought it a couple months ago and it arrived quickly and we put it together to make sure it was ok and it was and we took it back apart and then a couple weeks ago we put it up for Christmas! Wow - I am impressed with how pretty this tree is. It is the perfect size and the best artificial tree I have ever had. It takes a while to fluff but that is part of having an artificial tree. We do not put a lot of ornaments on our tree but we think it is beautiful. Would highly recommend. I wish I had known about pencil trees a long time ago, such a space saver and this one is great!!For the people who are putting pictures on here and saying it is not a good tree - I find your posts sad as anyone with any sense knows you have to fluff a tree the first time you take it out of the box. It will be very compressed as that is how they are put in the boxes to ship. The shipping cost would be so bad that no one could afford it if they did not do this. Those parts were wrapped, so luckily nothing was damaged. The tree is very easy to set up and it's very pretty. There are only 2 things that kept me from giving it 5 stars: the top is too weak to hold any topper of any weight so I had to fold the tall branch over and incorporate several more to hang the topper. The other thing is that if you want a real tree experience, you can have it when you have to clean up all the fallen needles! Because the branches have to be spread out it releases all the loose needles. They are everywhere.
