Great quality for price, and simple to use!
Small background: I am a home music producer and work with my friends on various music and recording hobbies. I often like to take in field sounds to use as samples in my work, and also recording music via my phone and pc.Overall, I really enjoy this mic and it has a pretty solid and sturdy design. The clip is made of what seems to be a steel die cast metal and does not seem like it would be prone to easy wear and tear from constant use. So far I have used this mic to record song ideas whenever I get a spark of inspiration, to record a reading as practice for monologue and podcast work, and for just recording instrumental parts. It is wonderful for these specific activities because of how simple it is to use, you just connect the aux cord to your phone ( I have an iphone 7, so must use the dongle as well ), open the program you wish to record in (voice memo app) and record as normal. No setup, no need to sync anything, and no apps or anything to use it, just plug and go.Quality: The sound quality of this mic is super clear and sounds very clean and flat. It does a decent job of picking up the ambient noise of rooms, but seems to be able to suppress background noise like tv. I would rate the quality of the mic on par with the apple headphones and on board mic for my iphone. There was no static noticeable in any of the recordings I took to test the mic. It is sensitive enough to pick up a guitar very clearly (when clipped to shirt collar) with great distinct tone of the different strings, both acoustic and electric, which was a nice surprise. The clip of the mic has a nice strong spring the ensures that the mic isn't going anywhere, and it is super solid for the price. The mic comes with a felt carrying pouch, a computer aux cord port adapter to hook it up and use with a PC, and even 3 extra mic muffs. It comes with a black one, yellow one, and a red one. I have not tried using the other colored mic muffs as I cannot see any noticeable difference in how they may affect recording quality. All in all, I really enjoy this mic and look forward to getting a lot of use out of it! It's going to be a really fun addition to my music production!

Good and Inexpensive Microphone
I’m always looking for hardware and software to review that compliments my Youtube channel. And, last week I found an inexpensive Lapel/Lavalier microphone for $9.99 that I thought may improve my Youtube video audio (Note: I received this microphone free from the manufacturer to review). I have been recording with two different microphones: either the microphone built into my Canon PowerShot camera, or an inexpensive stand alone microphone I plug into my PC for recording with OBS Studio when streaming live or talking technology on my channel.Unboxing the MicOf course, it’s a lapel microphone so it’s going to be small, and was packed in a small box. After opening the box, I found the microphone on a clip attached to a 6.5 ft cable, stored in a small black pouch with a small set of instructions. Also Included were 3 wind muffs and a 4 pin to 3 pin 3.5 mm adapter for use on your desktop or laptop PC.For the test, I plugged the microphone into the mic input of my desktop PC and launched OBS Studio. And, because I did not read the instructions, I didn’t know I should have use the adapter in my PC. For use on mobile devices, like iPhones, Androids, iPads or tablets, you don’t use the adapter. So, without knowing, I recorded my Youtube video microphone test without the adapter. To my surprise, on playback, the audio was great. Since the audio turned out well, I was a happy Youtuber. So if you’re looking for a low cost microphone, I recommend the Pop Voice Lavalier microphone because it sounds great and is inexpensive at $9.99. However, no audio specifications were listed on the instructions, with one exception. On the front page of the instructions, it showed a picture of the microphone and 360 degrees at the top, which meant it was an omnidirectional microphone. I then checked the Amazon listing and it listed that it was an omnidirectional condenser microphone with noise cancellation, but with no other specifications.
