Q: what is the height on this sole?

The sole varies in height. See where the dark part is about mid foot where the middle strap attaches? That is about 3/4 of an inch thick. More forward, it is an inch thick. And then tapers off closer to the toe. The sole is replaceable and the OPED distributor sells replacement parts. I have ordered a second boot liner, so we can wash one while wearing the other. The toe plate can also be moved forward or backwards based on the length of the foot for optimum fit. Through the OPED website there are a number of YouTube videos about the boot, I recommend watching them.
