**Q: How far from the 1/4 mono plugs is the Y split?**
A: I would say 5-7 inches away.

**Q: Can the Y split be adjusted so the cable can be used with speakers further apart?**
A: I may not fully understand your question, but the "Y" is hard plastic (you can actually see it at 12pm in the product picture if you look closely), so I'm not thinking you could separate the R/L from each other (at least not with ease.)  I used this to run outs from my computer into a mixer, or to reverse from the mixer into a DSLR mic jack.   Has worked well in both applications, but I have never contemplated using it for speakers.

**Q: Can your connect 3 stereo breakout cable together from mixer to computer for karaoke?**
A: I'd need to know what you're attempting to do, I'm using mine one from the headphone output for Karaoke to the mixer and one from my phone to the mixer for background music and DJ'ing tunes...good cables in my opinion too...
