The leak proof seal just works. A lot of bottles are finicky, if you screw the cap from an angle it still leaks. I've tried to do it from an angle but it always screws on properly, I've never had a problem with it spilling. Overall the Nalgene is the perfect bottle. It's a good middle ground of everything while having its strengths in durability, build quality, and price.
