It was the shower brush you can get from Marshall's, looks exactly like the Crave glide brushes but with colorful patterns (flamingos.) When I used that brush (plastic) I could feel a pulling. It was never harsh or painful, but I could feel the pull even in the shower and it left my hair with flyaways like static. When I used this comb (in the shower) I had to make sure it was actually in contact with my hair because I felt no pulling at all. The comb just glided right through my hair and after styling it had very little flyaways. I assume with time and extended use, the difference will become more apparant. Overall, a great purchase.
