I purchased two of these and I am not happy at all. they make a very loud high decibel pitched sound in your ear!!! and are difficult to adjust and when you do adjust them, they only have like 6 different levels to choose from or something like that as this is also difficult to do with these. I thought these would be nice but was mistaken at the supposedly simplicity of these. I wouldn't buy them this is only my experience with this kind of aid. **Q: how many times can the batteries be charged?** A: As often as necessary. You must have a reason for asking but I haven't had any problems. **Q: is one for left ear and one for right?** A: Yes either or. Wear one or both.
