Most rimfire owners know you cannot safely drive fire your equipment without risking damage to the firing pin. These give it a safe place to strike when doing repairs or practicing. They leave no residue like other snap caps. I have used the same one several times. I’m sure to get many uses out of them until I have to toss one. Only con is if you are using them in an old semi auto it can be a challenge to pull the charging handle back to eject the cap.

These are awesome. They have been essential to testing the function of my .22 revolver and long rifles.
