This was a jacuzzi bath conversion to a walk in shower and the seat is perfect for two 73 yo’s with fake and really bad knees. It’s strong, made of non-rust material and very sturdy. I think it can take a lot of weight, so it is for larger people who need safety and security. My hubs put this in and it required a heavy duty drill with specialized drill bits for marble/ceramic and porcelain tile. It uses really strong screw bolts to make sure there is no loosening and also very strong molly plugs if needed. He said it will never come out of loose. I’m very happy as the tub was high and difficult for us to step into after having knee replacement surgeries. This chair gives us confidence that we can safely sit and arise from seated position with addition to grab bars. We all get old and this feature is extremely helpful.
