The ambient light around my house at night is VERY LOW and still, you can't see them from very far away. When I walk 50-60 feet away, I can barely see them at all. The lasers are not focused spots on the house - they are diffuse and have soft edges. The lower-cost lasers that I have can be seen from MANY times the distance away. I fully realize that blue light is hard to see, but even the red and green lights really disappear with just a bit of distance between a viewer and the house. Laser has held up to rain and snow without problems. Remote provides many options and modes, also well made. There doesnt seem to be any indication of that. It works and all but you can tell this was repackaged..Hope this wasnt a refurbished item and works once next winter rolls around.
