I typically use these for DIY albums and the magnets are powerful enough that even through a few layers of cardstock (depending on weight of cardstock) they still snap shut (and stay shut) but are so thin that they aren't noticable! I bought them to try out and as soon as I received them and tested them out, I bought another 60!! These are tiny and thin, you won't regret purchasing them for crafting purposes! And I am not saying they wouldn't be fantastic for use in other types of applications but I can only attest to what I use them for which is papercrafting :) I feel like magnets are something that can be tricky to purchase online, but thin magnets are hard to find in stores!
