Review: Abstract, natural and cozy look - I was searching for a rug that felt earthly with very little to no toxic materials —knowing my daughter in constantly running in our living room bare foot. I came across this particular rug and fell in love! I see many reviews saying that it’s not perfectly rectangle, nor does it have sharp edges, but that’s exactly why I bought it. I think the uneven lines and edges gives it an abstract, natural look. When materials come from the earth it’s silly to expect it to be perfectly made. This rug has definitely given my living room some character while keeping my home cozy! And as for the smell, I agree. It did smell bad at first. But all I had to do was shake it outside for a minute, then sprinkled baking powder and dropped a generous amount of lavender and eucalyptus essential oils. Let it sit in the sun for two hours, then vacuumed it. I gave it a few shakes right after and it did not smell at all.
Review: Better than other brands! - I love this rug! I’ve had this same rug previously, only made by a different manufacturer and really loved it. But then my cat peed on that one, and cat pee on a jute rug becomes expensive garbage. I went with this brand as a replacement because it was cheaper, and the pictures in reviews showed a tighter weave of the cotton part compared to others, and that’s what I wanted. Because of the more yarn/cotton to jute ratio, this rug is softer and lighter colored, which is also what I was looking for. The caveat to that though is it isn’t as structured feeling and almost has the weight of a rag rug compared to a jute rug, but that is more than okay for me. I was really apprehensive on purchasing because of all the reviews about the smell, but I have had zero odor from it thankfully. There were a few wrinkles from being boxed, but against the opinions of online I put an iron on it (highest heat and high steam!) and they came out quickly and easily. Only small gripe is because it seems to be less jute and more cotton, its shape is kind of wonky, like a stretched sweater on the ends. But I think with some light yanking and placing under furniture it will lay nicely and straighten out. Overall really happy with it, would definitely recommend!

### ⭐ Don’t waste your money.

Do yourself a favor and do not buy this rug. It comes folded up in a box and the creases never resolve. It comes with an especially strong smell that you assume will fade, but doesn’t. And even with a rug mat underneath, it does not stay put due to the creases. Ugh.
