We’ll see how long it holds up. Very clean, only has a very fine dust, just needed one rinse before use. The bark looks like little nuggets of smooth-ish, firm, dark, bark, as if it’s been tumbled. I believe the AOS has recently recommended this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You can't go wrong with this, my phals love it! *by M***I on Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2020* When I first purchased this last year, I was a total orchid novice. I knew absolutely NOTHING about phals. I was gifted one and was told to re pot it ASAP. So I went on line, read a couple articles and this orchid bark was highly recommended. It wasn't anything fancy, just orchid bark. There was other kinds of bark mixed with perlite, moss, charcoal and other fancy crap. I won't say that that other fancy stuff is what you need but for my phals, this stuff is fine. I'm in FL and my phals are kept inside this is perfect for my needs. I was able to re pot 4 phals into 4, 2L soda bottles (I cut the bottles in half and poked into them for air flow) and I have enough to pot one more. I soak my phals once a week in the kitchen sink for an hour or so, then place them by the window that has sheer curtains and that's it. This bark holds them nicely, gives my roots lots of space to grow and allows the water to drain off yet still retain some moisture. The bark is only 6 months old and I don't see needing to re pot anytime soon due to it breaking down. I believe I purchased the power plus and I'm getting ready to order another bag since this meets my needs nicely. To those of you deciding if you should get this or some other type of bark, try this out.
