It seems the goal with these projectors is simply to provide a very cheap alternative, an alternative that is good enough for viewing YouTube, the occasional movie or TV show. So there are a few things to keep in mind, you can not change the size of picture with any wheels or buttons, you need to move the projector to change the size, I'm guessing that kind of optics etc are cheaper to produce, but it's not a major issue as the projector is small and lightweight. The resolution is 800x640 (or thereabouts), so while it accepts incoming 1080p material, it's obviously only going to display them at its native resolution. The remote use the same frequency/code as another box I have (straight from China), which I can work around, but might be something worth keeping in mind.All that said and, given the low price, I was surprised at how capable this projector is. At shorter distances (around 3 meters give or take) it works just fine in dimmed down light conditions for casual viewing. Viewing a movie you will want to make the room dark, or at least very dimmed down. But still, surprisingly bright light inside this "1800 lumens" projector. You can change brightness, contrast, color and sharpness. In addition to that you can also change the color temperature. Aspect ratio is 16:9 (can be changed to 4:3 or just auto). Not bad for something at this price. No, it's not going to compete with a more expensive projector, nor TV, when it comes to all the above. I looked at all the projectors I could find on Amazon under £80 and had no clue which one to buy so I opted for this based on reviews and brightness. It's definitely worth the price. Ok build, good colours, ok image resolution, fan not too loud. I'm using mine for a kids bedroom cinema and it does the trick - I've plugged the Firestick into the HDMI. Easy. Yes there is edge blurring and it's clearly nowhere near the quality of a decent budget 'known-brand' projector but for the price and application it does the job. Hoping it stands the test of time. Only gripe is that I had a dodgy PSU in the box which fizzled out after 5mins. Luckily I had a 240v > 12v 5a adaptor kicking about otherwise I would have sent it back. In summary, if you want a completely viewable experience and aren't picky about edge blur (it's minor) or resolution, this does the job. Tested at home in what I thought would be similar lighting conditions and it worked brilliantly. Good picture for the price and capable of adding speakers to boost the sound. The projectors sound is quite loud when used in a small/medium room. The projector heats up after about half hour of use and you can hear noise from the fan but this is the case with all low range projectors. Unfortunately due to speech being in a marquee the lighting was too bright and I wasn't able to use it. Even though I couldnt use it the projector then, it has been used since and will be used in the future for showing movies. The remote control that came with my projector does not work. In the process of hearing back from the company. It arrived in 2 days and was packaged with plenty of protection.
