Review: Happy smoke rings! - Great little device, makes amazing cocktails. Great for serving cheese. Plan to serve mince pies at Christmas with cinnamon smoke. Amazing smoked old fashioned cocktail. Great for serving steak etc but smoke does dissipate fast. Easy to use and clean. Adds a wonderful touch of drama to a meal or drink. Metal removable burning chamber is a good idea.. gun design makes it easier to use and the hose is better for directing the smoke or making bubbles. Danger as with any new toy- smoked pretty much everything I can find bar the dog!!!

The hickory and applewood chips it came with have lasted well. Had a go at steak, salmon and cheese, and really adds flavour to all. But aside from the taste benefits, you can turn your kitchen into willy wonkas chocolate factory :) make sure you clean the tiny gauzes though.

**Q: Has anyone read anything about the health dangers of eating food smoked with this sort of gun?**
A: Smoked food has been around "since prehistory" (according to wikipedia) as a way of preserving meat, this is more for adding the smoky flavour to food and not for preservation but uses woodchips similar to those used in modern smoking processes. I would imagine it is no more or less dangerous than eating smoked ham or smoked bacon etc.

A: Never tried it, but as it has a blower it might be to heady ;-)

A: If you, I mean your friend is a serious smoker as it pumps serious amounts of smoke!

**Q: Can you smoke fish with this gun like salmon, mackerel?**
A: You May add smoke flavour to the fish before cooking (grill, oven or pan) but it Can’t substitute cold or varm smoking (you may do the latter in your Weber grill, but leave the first to proffesionals)

Great little device, makes amazing cocktails. Great for serving cheese. Plan to serve mince pies at Christmas with cinnamon smoke. Amazing smoked old fashioned cocktail. Great for serving steak etc but smoke does dissipate fast. Easy to use and clean. Adds a wonderful touch of drama to a meal or drink. Danger as with any new toy- smoked pretty much everything I can find bar the dog!!!
