I used it on mild dark brown wood, to cover it for my shelves and it does see through it. And because of it it doesn't make it look purely white but like white with some shadow. Using it to cover stair treads and risers that are in poor condition. Waiting on a new staircase in a few months so didn't want to put too much effort in doing them up, so bought this to easily cover them. It's thick enough to cover all the marks and mess.The colour is a very cool white, it's really has such a blue tinge. Not what I really wanted but couldn't find cream so it will do.It doesn't stick well on my stairs. Now they are very grubby and it seems impossible to get them clean, so that won't be helping matters.
