It's also my first proper foray into Arduino despite having worked with microcontrollers for quite a long time.The kit is very well equipped with inputs and outputs to capture the imagination of a beginner. Being able to very quickly and easily assemble a temperature & humidity sensor with an lcd readout was a great starting point for my son, much more satisfying than the old world of lighting or flashing an LED.The slight downside of the generously equipped kit is that it's rather difficult to pack it all away again in the supplied case. As an introductory product it would be nice to keep it all together, but once unpacked it's near impossible to fit it all back in. That being said, if you take out the breadboard it is doable.All in all this does what it supposed to do very well. You are paying a slight premium for what you actually get, but it's worth the price to have everything you need in a single kit.
