Not draining properly, fungus appearing and infestation in soil with white bugs** A: No specific issues but this isn't what succulents and cacti should be planted in without amendment. It's not well draining enough. It would need to be mixed with about 50% perlite to be well-draining. Or better yet look for Lechuza Pon gritty mix on Amazon. Works great and needs no amendment. **Q: Is this also good for Aloe Vera plant** A: The details on the bag say the compost is suitable for cacti and succulents. Since aloe vera is a succulent I suppose it must be! Hope this helps. **Q: Does it have fertiliser in?** A: It has nutrients but at a very low level. The manufacturer states:Contains peat, sand, grit, sterilised soil, maglime, wetting agent as well as a carefully balanced range of nutrients to support growth for up to 2 months. **Q: Hello, I am purchasing succulents and potting them in old jam jars, do I need any other sort of soil or will this be sufficient?** A: There is no reason for adding anything to the compost for the benefit of the cacti. However you may want to put a layer of gravel in the bottom under the compost so that you can get a better idea as to how much water you are adding. In normal conditions the excess water drains out of the pot which yours will not.
