THX** A: The entire door is about 9 3/4 " H and 9 1/8"W remembering that the corners are rounded. The actual opening is about 7 3/4" H and 7 1/4"W. **Q: is it really 11+ inches wide? what is cut size of hole in door?** A: My dog is a 20 pound westie and he fits fine through it. The cut size is just a bit larger than the outside edges of the dog door.
