Aleppo refers to Aleppo, Syria where the soap was first made over a thousand years ago and will hopefully continue to be made. Although, due to the war in Syria many producers of Aleppo soap make the soap in other countries and have done so for some time now. What makes a soap Aleppo soap, (other than being made in Aleppo, Syria), are the four ingredients Olive Oil, Bay Laurel Oil, Lye and Water. This particular soap is made with those ingredients and performs like Aleppo soap should. **Q: Could you name ALL ingredients?** A: Laurel Oil, 1st press Virgin Olive Oil, Water.
