I do not want a light waking up my baby.** A: Yes there is an amber light that comes on underneath the camera, this light is not bright, it just emits a dull glow. **Q: how long is the battery life?** A: Ours lasted about 10 hours when we got it. It's nearly 4 years old now and last around 6 hours. **Q: Does the temperature display show the actual temperature of the room or just a colour indicator to show if its cool or warm? Thanks** A: It shows the temperature but as we have it placed high up on the wall to look down into baby’s cot I find it shows the temperature 1 degree higher (C) than what the grow egg shows. Probably just because it’s higher up in the room but I don’t think it’s as accurate as the Gro Egg thermometer. **Q: We live in a concrete flat would these still work or would the concrete interfere with the signal** A: Hi I have had lots of monitors over the years as I have a daughter with special needs. I returned this monitor as the image was rubbish. I bought the Hello Baby wireless monitor and it's amazing!!! Finally decided on the 3000 and it’s absolutely perfect for anyone’s needs, other models offer a bigger screen but honestly you don’t need it you’ll gain nothing out of having a biggest screen what so ever. Battery life is good if you turn the brightness down slightly and you can hear a pin drop through the speaker. Night vision works perfectly and the range is great, we have an outside bar which is in the back garden it’s right next to the house but still a separate building and the is no connection issuers what’s so ever. Set up is and absolute doddle also, I’ve said it already but don’t waste money on a bigger screen there is absolutely no needs. I was worried about the smaller screen but it is more than enough for checking on baby.The functions are the same and great for the price, including remote pan and tilt, and ability to sleep the screen until sound is picked up. This saves battery life and draws your attention when baby needs it.We hooked up a second camera to the parent unit for both children. Note, you can only get a second camera through purchasing a whole other kit which is a downfall of this. Luckily we had our previous one. Picture quality is good, not completely clear enough to make out distinct detail from distance but that doesn’t hinder. Will never purchase Motorola again.Back to this product... nice, simple little monitor. Does everything I need it to and although the screen is a bit smaller than what we've had before it doesn't hinder it at all and the image is actually clearer. Sound is really good too.
