But I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t. I would describe it as a natural buff colour. I used the paper in ‘lockdown’ to wrap printed ECard gifts emails for a special birthday. I trimmed the email sheets just slightly smaller than A4 and rolled the emails inside the parchment paper. I used clear sticky round spots for a neat joint fixing and tied ribbon attaching a gift tag. I added curly ribbon for the finishing touch. End result... was better than a gift bag. I would recommend this product. Review: Very nice paper - good appearance and thickness - Works perfectly for a letter etc. that needs to be a little special. Good thickness and texture. It is thicker than normal printing paper, but isn’t the texture of watercolour paper. **Q: I have made watercolour xmas cards can i ptint them onto this paper so i can keep original card** A: I just printed black and red text. Is this plan based or actual traditional vellum, I.e. animal skin. Thanks.** A: It's not the same as the usual semi-transparent vellum. It's completely opaque, textured and similar to hand-made paper - not suitable for embossing. I wanted the white transparent vellum that turns an opaque white when embossed. I needed a lot of this to colour and make into flowers and butterflies, cut on a die-cutting machine, to put on my daughter's wedding invitations. I chose this because most of the packs I'd seen only had ten sheets in, so I thought it was cheaper because it was sold in bulk. I couldn't tell what it was like from the picture, but it turned out to be a creamy-beige sort of colour and is opaque and textured. However, I found that I could use it for what I wanted - in fact, when colouring this paper with crayons, it looks much brighter and has a very nice texture. The flowers and butterflies, if anything, look a little better for this, so it is probably more suitable and certainly better value.
