The dashboard shows a range of data over different time periods and this data can also be viewed on a versatile graph. Use the graph to home in on particular events and see exactly what is happening in the property across the day. For those who wish to delve deeper, the data can be exported via a CSV file for further analysis. You can view your dashboard on your smartphone by downloading the free app. This allows you to determine how much energy you're using while out of the house as well as whilst you're at home - and by doing so improve your usage habits to save money in the long run. The Network OWL gateway automatically logs all of your consumption data securely within the Intuition Cloud software platform. You can then login to view your live and historic data, from any Internet connected computer, anywhere! For this type of installation the standard intuition-e will be fine. If however you have 2 meters with 2 live feeds, the intuition-e will still work, but you need to purchase 1 additional standard sensor (search for Amazon item B003QJTS3W) **Q: Hi, does this need to be permanently online via home router to record historical usage?** A: The data can be stored in two ways you can use OWL's web interface which is by far the easiest and gives great stats and graphs and can easily be downloaded at a later date, for this you'll need the Network OWL to be connected to your home route 24/7.Alternatively you can use the OWL monitor with the +USB to log your data and then download it to your computer later.Most home energy monitors work the later way, and with the best will in the world most of us after a while get bored and can't find 10-15 minutes every few months to play graphs and computers and cables. The advantage of it going to OWL's web service is it's always there and you can study the data immediately when you think of it, like on the train from your phone or at the office in your lunch break.Hope that helps, it's a great system and we have typically more than 1/2 our daily power usage and we were pretty sensible with turning things off before! **Q: Does the online service required a subscription payment?** A: Yes it does and here's the email OWL just sent.
