I chose this shampoo because of its two active ingredients and the absence of irritating chemicals like parabens and sulphates. Hair loss is not actually my main problem (although my barber comments on my abnormally high "fall"). I've had chronic and severe scalp dandruff, sometimes with cysts of dead skin and small blood clots just above the hairline at the back of my neck for the last 50 years! I only discovered the cause by chance. I also suffer from blepharitis and one day the pain in my eyelid was so intense, like a minature surgeon with a microscopic scalpel, that I searched for a cause on the net - for the umpteenth time - and got "demodex mites".One ingredient is 4-terpineol, the active ingredient in tea tree oil and the other is piroctone olamine, a natural substance believed to have fungicidal properties, which I came across following up a reference to a Patent US 20160287566 A1. Both these ingredients kill demodex mites, a known cause of scalp psoriasis and dandruff. The mites live in hair follicles and feast on the skin inside the follicle (with their scalpel-like mouth) and the sebum produced at the apex of the follicle which ought to be conditioning your hair. They are responsible for the itch and the crawling sensation especially at night when they come out of the follicles to mate, and for the flakes of skin on your shoulders. Dermatologists have known about human demodex mites since Tulles Coston's 1967 paper "Blepharitis Demodex Follicularum" and obviously One Green Lab, a UK company based in Horsham, do too. But not my GP!Since purchase I have been using this shampoo daily and following the instructions to leave on for 2-3 minutes massaging thoroughly. The result almost from Day One is that I no longer need to use conditioner, the dry, fly away hair is no more and my scalp itches far less. Daily hair fall is less. But I've had the condition, not treated effectively, for a long time and I expect it to be a long haul. The patent mentions the relationship between the fungal and the demodex cause of scalp psoriasis and the need for the right balance between the miticidal and fungicidal ingredients and so I have been searching for another shampoo, to use every third day, which contains climbazole (the fungicide) as well as piroctone olamine. The patent argues that manufacturers are wrong in thinking piroctone is a fungicide because it works on dandruff; it works on dandruff because it is a miticide. Sorry to get so technical. Please do try it.Incidentally I found the patent reference researching demodex on the US Rosacea Support Forum where the author is a senior member.

I'm always skeptical about product claims and testimonials, with no mention of testing on large sample groups by independent third parties with no conflict of interest, etc. Our hair has natural cycles and it takes time for regrowth and recovery to be visible. The only way to know if this product is really working is to use it exclusively as a treatment for 6 consecutive months. So although this is far from scientific, the way that I've been judging whether a hair-recovery product is working, is by the looking at the amount of hair I lose during each wash. So far, this product has reduced my amount of hair loss per shower by a tiny fraction. I do like the tingly minty feeling I get on my scalp from using it. If this promotes blood circulation, that's the key -- it's exactly what Monoxidil does and why it works. But I'll never know how effective it truly is, without giving it 6 months and using it exclusively.

I have been using this product for around 6 weeks now, I bought after my scalp became quite irritated sore and itchy and hair falling out quite badly.The good points of this are that it doesn't smell bad and the tingling sensation i actually like the feel off. I found that after 24 hours my scalp was once again itchy and sore, so daily use works better for me. I also found i didn't have a problem with getting it to lather with soaking hair. I was quite shocked by the size of the bottle however it lasts surprisingly long. I am yet to see results of hair loss/regrowth and unfortunately i can not justify the cost of this product to see no results yet.

Amazing shampoo. I used it along with grandma's strengthening shampoo on Amazon with 17 Siberian herbs my hair loss has drastically gone. Everyone I pulled my hair I had about 7 hairs lost. Now none. When I washed it I only had about 10 lost. Both together had strengthened and shined my hair up. It looks thicker too. I will never stop using these. I also use Apple cider vinegar rinse which of always done . I also use black seed oil coconut oil and castor oil with rosemary tee tree oil. Peppermint essential oils heated up with cling film on all night and shower cap and washed off withfolione shampoo and grandma's recipe shampoo for strength and growth amazing guys you got to try them so cheap too I'm so happy

It did work well for a while but the last 2 bottles were not that efficient so change for another product!

OK, first off I pretty much never post a product review on Amazon and must be one of the most sceptical people you've never met, I belong to that lazy category who just scrounge off other people's efforts to help me make informed decisions. With that off my chest, I cannot recommend this product highly enough. I have had thinning / receding hair for years now - never totally bald, but thin enough to be self-conscious when lit from above ! Thin enough to have been discussing crew-cut options with my barber for the last two years at least. I started using this product less than a week ago and I am literally amazed by the results. I don't know whether it is thickening the hair, darkening the hair or what, but my barnet looks significantly fuller on top. So much so I am actually brushing my hair, something I haven't done in as long as I can recall. Am due at the barbers next week - I will be asking for a short back and sides, oh - and just in case they run out, two more bottles on order !

12 Dec 16.Item arrived very quickly from Amazon. On opening there is a lovely aroma of lemon, underneath you can detect by the nose, the boots and guns to this product.lying underneath the fresh citrus. Quite excited as ir does look the product. So far all cool with an excellent price ( my main reason for purchase ). I am a guy that has left and right balding on left and right corners of forheadalong with thinning front, top and generally all over. Will wash tomorrow Mon 14th with pics before and after and will keep you up date. So far very happy, very professional item that looks as though it means business.
