Once butter has split from the buttermilk, save the buttermilk for scones, and then simply wash the butter in iced water, give it a few squeezes and then sprinkle with sea salt. **Q: Is there a limit on how long you can keep the butter if refrigerated?**
A: It will last longer the more buttermilk you remove 
You will need to wash the butter properly to remove it 
Or the butter will only last about a week 
If you remove the buttermilk it will last as long as regular butter

**Q: Could I use raw full cream milk?**
A: You can use RAW full fat cream but i don't think it would work with just milk (not enough fat)

**Q: Could I use thick milk kefir**
A: Hi,

Yes I believe you can, I’ve not made it my self but my partner makes similar yogurt type. Butter Kefir culture should be fine. Below is a link
