I put three spots of Araldite glue (two pack) on the underneath of the slate, and it hasn’t moved since. Also used it on the upright. The angle of the gnomon is only 45 degrees and needs to be set to the latitude you live in. Around 52 degrees for the UK. I stuck a bit in it to increase the angle. It needs to be set pointing NORTH. Looks great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely sun dial *by M***E on 25 June 2023* This is a lovely sundial and is a good size. It quite thick and clearly marked. It needs to be better packaged to be sent out. It arrived in an Amazon paper bag. The peak is flat for packaging and wrapped in some thin foamy packaging. The first one arrived with the peak broken into 3 pieces so I exchanged it. The second one arrived today and although not broken it does have a chip out of it. I have kept it as it’s slate and I can live with the chip also this is probably how good it’s going to arrive.
